FAQs
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist at Feet at the Bridge?
No. You can book directly as a private patient. Both practitioners are HCPC-registered and happy to see self-referrals.
How long is a typical appointment?
A standard routine appointment lasts around 30 minutes. New patients (or those not seen within the last 12 months) are allocated a longer appointment of up to 45 minutes so a full assessment can be carried out.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a list of any medication you are taking and, if possible, a pair of the shoes you wear most often. Information about your general health is important, as many conditions can affect the feet.
Where is the clinic?
The clinic is at Unit 2, The Restaurant, Suffolk Food Hall, Wherstead, Ipswich IP9 2AB.
Free parking is available at Suffolk Food Hall and it is easily accessible from the A14.
What is included in a routine appointment?
Routine appointments cover nail care, corn and callus reduction, treatment of cracked heels, management of minor infections, and general foot health and footwear advice.
Do you treat diabetic feet?
Yes. A vascular and neurological assessment of the feet is carried out (included within the treatment price) so a personalised foot-care plan can be created for patients with diabetes.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Late cancellations or non-attendance will be charged the full appointment fee.
Do you offer surgery for ingrowing toenails?
Yes. Nail surgery is a simple procedure performed under local anaesthetic to permanently remove all or part of a problem nail (ingrowing, misshapen or fungal).
One follow-up redressing appointment is included.
Prices start from £350 for one toe.
What is dry needling and when is it used?
Dry needling is a procedure carried out under local anaesthetic for stubborn verrucae.
The lesion is carefully needled to help stimulate the body’s immune system to clear the virus.
